All You Need To Know About Google’s First Ever Smartphones: Pixel & Pixel XL

It was just last month when iPhone 7 was launched, and it created a stir in the world. In one of the biggest launch of the year, Google has launched its first ever Pixel series of smartphones at an event held in San Francisco. The handsets were in the news when few pictures were leaked before the actual launch. The devices which are built by HTC are 5-inch 1080p Pixel and 5.5-inch XL and will be in the market with “phone by Google” branding.

According to Google, Pixel has the ‘best smartphone camera ever’ – 12.3 MP rear camera which is packed with smart features like Lens Blur and stmartburst. Not just this, but it can also capture 4K videos and comes with video stabilisation. The phone has an 8MP front camera.

The surface of the phone is carefully sculptured as rounded edges make for a secure grip. Google claims a 2.5D Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 on the front display and back glass to accent the aerospace grade aluminium body.
A quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM and 2770 mAh battery (Pixel XL has a 3,450mAh battery) promises you up to 7 hours of power with just 15 minutes of charging!
One of the biggest highlights of this phone is the inbuilt Google Assistant and the Google Duo, which will be pre-installed. In competition with Siri, Google says its assistant is more contextually aware of what is happening on your device.
Say “Ok Google” or touch and hold the Home button and your Assistant is ready to help. Ask it for a brief update on your day or to play a video on YouTube. Look up traffic on the way home from work or when the nearest pharmacy closes. You can even say “show me my hiking photos with Archana” and it’ll instantly display the photos you’re looking for. Your Assistant can also offer help with what’s on-screen in any app. So if your friend texts you to meet up at a new restaurant, you can just say “navigate there”.

Not just this but pixel also serves you with the newest Android system 7.1 Nougat. Phones will get software and security directly from the Google, as soon as they are available in the market. With the advanced update processor, all the updating will happen in the background and there will be no need to wait till the phone is updated.

The first ever phone to support Google’s virtual reality platform, Daydream!!

You can make Pixel-5” and Pixel XL- 5.5” yours by paying INR 57000. It will be available for pre-order India from October 13th, 2016. These smartphones will be available in two colours Quite Black and Very Silver with the memory configuration of 32GB and 128GB sizes.
