‘La La Land’ makes it big at Gloden Globes Awards on Sunday. The function was marked by surprises and accusation by Meryl Streep of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. While the ceremony was fun for all, it became extra special for the star cast of ‘La La Land’ as they managed to bag seven awards.
A romantic musical about a struggling actress and a jazz pianist trying their luck in Hollywood took home seven globes for the best comedy/ musical, and its star casts Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, director Damien Chazelle as well as for screenplay, score and original song.
“This is a film for dreamers, and I think that hope and creativity are the most important things in the world,” said the leading actress Emma Stone.
“Moonlight” Independent coming-of-age film won the best drama movie and Casey Affleck, star of “Manchester by the Sea” bagged the best drama actor for his role of a man ripped in grief.
