If everything goes fine, Modi Govt will soon announce a plan of ₹ 2000 crore for all the displaced people of Pakistan occupied Kashmir, living in the country. A senior official has confirmed the news stating that the Home Ministery will soon place the details to Union Cabinet for approval.
According to PTI, the Jammu and Kashmir government has precisely mentioned 36,348 such families who will be given the sum of around Rs 5.5 lakh each.
Such refugees majority of whom belong to West Pakistan are settled in various parts of Jammu, Kathua and Rajouri districts, without having a status of permanent residents of the state regarding Jammu and Kashmir.
In January 2015 Modi Govt allowed certain concessions to the refugees considering the problems faced by them, which included special recruitment drives for induction into paramilitary forces, equal employment opportunities in the state, admission for the children of refugees in Kendriya Vidyalayas, among others.
Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi is constantly bringing up the issue, we hope to get some fruitful results out of it!
