In the country worshipping, cricket designing of new jerseys comes with a tremendous responsibility. Ahead of the India vs. England ODI series, Nike has unveiled new jerseys for the men and women in blue. Nike knows the responsibility well, and therefore designers got personally engaged with the cricket team to understand their preferences and choices.
“The game has been evolving over the years and the need to have kits that are designed to suit the modern game has always been the priority for the team management and Nike,” says MS Dhoni, India Cricket team wicketkeeper and batsman.
The new cricket kit includes a key feature ‘4D Quickness’ which provides multi-dimensional and multi-directional stretch for quickness along with the tuned breathability that helps with temperature regulation to keep athletes cool.
“We have always been told to treat life and sport differently, which is very wrong. On the field, we are encouraged to take risks, but then in life, you need to be safe! It’s a huge gap that needs to be bridged,” shares Virat Kohli, Captain, Indian Cricket team.

The jerseys will be available in selected Nike stores in India from January 12.
